Senior AI Engineer (Financial Services)

What you will do

• Design, develop, deploy, and optimise enterprise AI applications, APIs, copilots, agents, and intelligent automation solutions.
• Build RAG architectures, prompt-engineering frameworks, vector search solutions, and enterprise knowledge-retrieval capabilities.
• Integrate LLMs into business processes and engineering workflows using cloud-native applications, APIs, microservices, and data pipelines.
• Implement MLOps, model evaluation, monitoring, drift detection, observability, telemetry, and AI safety controls.
• Ensure AI solutions meet security, governance, privacy, risk, regulatory, explainability, auditability, and responsible-AI requirements.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring while partnering with Product Owners, Architects, Data Engineers, Risk teams, and business stakeholders.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience in machine learning, generative AI, LLMs, agentic AI, and decision intelligence systems.
• Experience with RAG, prompt engineering, AI agents and copilots, vector databases, embeddings, enterprise search, and knowledge retrieval.
• Strong software engineering experience with Python, Java, C#, or similar languages, including production applications, APIs, automated testing, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and DevSecOps.
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, enterprise integration patterns, API-first architectures, and cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with AI APIs, Azure AI tooling, Databricks, LangChain, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, PyTorch, TensorFlow, M365 Copilot, GitHub Copilot, Hugging Face, or Azure DevOps.
• Experience delivering technology in regulated environments such as insurance, pensions, investments, banking, or asset management.

Nice to have

• Enterprise-scale AI production delivery and experience with AI observability or model-monitoring platforms.
• Knowledge of service design, customer-centred product development, Power Platform, Microsoft Purview, Unity Catalog, AI ethics, and responsible-AI practices.
