TL;DR
Director of IT Engineering (Corporate IT, Automation, and AI): Building an engineering-first operating model for corporate identity, productivity, endpoint, SaaS, and access systems with an accent on infrastructure as code, CI/CD, automation, and agentic operations. Focus on leading a hands-on team, reducing support toil through root-cause fixes, and designing a multi-year technology strategy in partnership with InfoSec.

What you will do
- Lead and grow the IT Engineering team as a hands-on player-coach through pairing, code and configuration reviews, mentoring, and technical unblocking.
- Define the multi-year strategy and roadmap for identity and access management, productivity tools, endpoint management, SaaS and vendor management, procurement, and budgeting.
- Guide the transition from traditional IT and systems administration toward infrastructure-as-code, automation-first, CI/CD, and GitOps practices.
- Adopt AI and agentic tooling to reduce manual work and support ticket volume.
- Partner with InfoSec on identity, access, security, and compliance.
- Use ticket trends, metrics, and root-cause analysis to prioritize high-impact improvements.
Requirements
- 10–15 years of experience across IT, systems administration, DevOps, or corporate technology engineering.
- Deep hands-on Okta experience is required.
- Experience with Google Workspace, infrastructure-as-code using Terraform or similar tools, CI/CD, and GitOps workflows for corporate SaaS systems.
- Demonstrated success reducing manual toil and ticket volume through automation and root-cause fixes.
- Experience mentoring or providing technical leadership to mid-level IT analysts.
- Hands-on individual contributor capability combined with strategy-setting, stakeholder communication, and familiarity with security and compliance fundamentals.
