Digital Real World Data and Healthcare Intelligence Business Analyst (AI)

Location: Toronto, ON, Canada; hybrid schedule with up to 2 days per week from home

Salary: CAD 100,500–150,500 annually, including target bonus

What you will do

• Gather, document, and refine business requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Analyze real-world data from claims, electronic health records, and registries to support product decisions and identify trends.
• Partner with Product Owners to prioritize the backlog and facilitate workshops, stakeholder interviews, and sprint reviews.
• Support dashboards, reports, data visualizations, product documentation, process flows, and data dictionaries.
• Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to validate pipelines, define data quality KPIs, and assess fitness for use.
• Support regulatory, privacy, GxP, SOX, cybersecurity, launch-readiness, and product-performance activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, life sciences, business analytics, economics, health informatics, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in business analysis, product management, data analysis, or a similar analytical role.
• Familiarity with SQL, Python, Excel, data structures, data flows, and data quality concepts.
• Knowledge of GenAI concepts including RAG architectures, LLMs, prompt engineering, telemetry, evaluation frameworks, or AI quality metrics.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
• Strong analytical, communication, prioritization, collaboration, and data-storytelling skills, with an interest in life sciences and global healthcare.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or experience in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, real-world data, claims, EHR, or registries.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, hands-on AI-assisted prototyping, or AI-powered product development.
