Electrical Engineering Intern (Power Systems)

Location: Pullman, Washington, United States; in-person work required part-time during the school year and full-time during the summer.

Salary: $24.25–$33.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Conduct applied research and design experiments using power system equipment and software.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of SEL processes and technologies.
• Document and communicate test results.
• Provide technical support to SEL staff and customers.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Complete at least two to three years of undergraduate study in electrical engineering; undergraduate and graduate students are welcome.
• Ability to work in person in Pullman, Washington, part-time during the school year and full-time during the summer.
• Working knowledge of modern test equipment, such as power supplies and digital oscilloscopes.
• Practical knowledge of three-phase power systems.

Nice to have

• Programming experience with MATLAB or Python.
• Basic understanding of signals and systems.
• Experience with RTDS/RSCAD, ATP/EMTP-RV, or other power system modeling software.
