TL;DR
Medical Director, Mood & Pipeline – US Medical Affairs (Neuroscience): Leading the medical portfolio and pipeline strategy for mood disorders, including new indications, emerging assets, data dissemination, and clinical development with an accent on neuroscience, clinical trials, regulatory strategy, and scientific communication. Focus on shaping portfolio strategy, designing and leading studies, supporting FDA interactions, monitoring competitive intelligence, and collaborating with cross-functional and external medical stakeholders.

Location: Titusville, New Jersey, United States. Hybrid schedule with three days in the office and up to two days remote per week; up to 20% travel is required.

Salary: $164,000–$282,900 annually, plus eligibility for performance-based bonuses and long-term incentives.

What you will do

  • Lead the medical portfolio and pipeline strategy for the Mood therapeutic area, including new indications and label expansions.
  • Provide medical leadership for emerging assets from early development through launch in partnership with R&D and Global Medical Affairs.
  • Own portfolio-level data dissemination and congress strategies, creating a coherent scientific narrative across assets.
  • Provide medical input into clinical trial design, presentations, publications, regulatory submissions, and FDA interactions.
  • Lead or contribute to Phase IIIb/IV studies, post-marketing studies, registries, real-world evidence programs, and investigator-initiated research.
  • Build relationships with investigators, key opinion leaders, medical societies, and patient advocacy organizations across mood and psychiatry.

Requirements

  • MD, DO, PhD, PharmD, or NP degree required; PhD preferred.
  • At least 8 years of combined industry, academic, clinical research, or clinical practice experience, including at least 3 years in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Expertise in neuroscience, psychiatry, and/or mood disorders.
  • Familiarity with clinical trial design and clinical data interpretation.
  • Strong analytical, strategic-thinking, scientific writing, communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to collaborate in a matrix environment and lead cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

  • Prior R&D or clinical-development experience.
