Executive Medical Director / Senior Medical Director (Neurology)

Location: South San Francisco, California, United States; onsite Tuesday–Thursday. Remote candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Travel of approximately 20–30% is required.

Salary: $300,000–$400,000 USD annually, plus stock options and an annual bonus program.

What you will do

• Lead clinical development strategy and execution for Phase 1 and Phase 2 studies in neurology and new indications.
• Guide the development of A-005, a CNS-penetrant TYK2 inhibitor for potential neuroinflammatory and neurodegenerative applications.
• Shape the clinical portfolio from indication selection and study design through proof-of-concept readout.
• Serve as a scientific leader and external representative with investigators, regulatory authorities, and the medical community.
• Support investigator meetings, scientific conferences, regulatory interactions, and clinical site visits.

Requirements

• Experience leading clinical development strategy and execution for Phase 1 and Phase 2 studies.
• Expertise in neurology and the development of treatments for neuroinflammatory or neurodegenerative diseases.
• Ability to lead indication selection, clinical study design, and proof-of-concept programs.
• Availability for approximately 20–30% travel.
• Ability to work onsite in South San Francisco Tuesday–Thursday, unless approved for remote work on a case-by-case basis.
