Project Manager Assistant (Environmental Science)

Location: Anchorage, Alaska, United States; onsite at the Anchorage laboratory

What you will do

• Process sample orders and coordinate delivery and pickup of sampling supplies and samples.
• Execute client-requested change orders and review chain-of-custody specifications.
• Review daily login information in the laboratory information management system and request corrections.
• Inform clients about sample receipt anomalies and provide technical support for issue resolution.
• Process and manage subcontracting requests with internal and external laboratories.
• Provide phone, email, and project coverage for project managers while monitoring turnaround times and report delivery.

Requirements

• Associate degree or equivalent industry experience, with 0–1 years of experience in science and/or customer service.
• A bachelor's degree in environmental science, biology, chemistry, or a related field with 1–2 years of relevant experience is preferred.
• Advanced English language skills required.
• Exceptional communication, critical thinking, reasoning, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 lbs.
