hirify.global is hiring for a purchasing role supporting facilities that produce and sell wood products.

What you will do

• Source and procure wood and related products for assigned facilities.
• Develop supplier relationships and translate them into purchasing and program business.
• Purchase products that meet quality, service, and pricing requirements.
• Monitor commodity markets, provide current market levels, and forecast future market direction.
• Coordinate with sales, plant management, purchasing teams, and other facilities to support product availability, sales, and margins.
• Create and update purchase orders, manage claims, monitor inventory, maintain buy lists, and prepare reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in the lumber industry.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook, and other business software.
• Working knowledge of lumber math, business math, commodity market conditions, and market dynamics.
• Working knowledge of lumber and panel grade rules.
