Forward Deployed Engineer (Robotics)

Location: Full-time onsite and field-based, anchored to the Sunnyvale, California HQ, with extensive travel to client sites nationwide. Candidates must be based in the United States.

Salary: $130,000–$170,000 per year, depending on experience. Equity through stock options.

What you will do

• Conduct site surveys and deployment engineering for autonomous machines and sensing infrastructure, covering connectivity, power, terrain, and escalation paths.
• Commission, configure, and integrate technology with client networks, video management systems, access control, and security operations workflows.
• Partner with Mission Advisors during sales cycles on technical scoping, site architecture, and deployment validation.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and networking issues in the field and own problems through resolution.
• Document field learnings and feed them into engineering, product, and operations improvements.
• Represent hirify.global at client properties and maintain a high standard of client-facing technical execution.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in sales engineering or technical architecture.
• Engineering degree or equivalent hands-on experience in electrical, computer, mechanical, mechatronics, robotics, or field systems engineering.
• Strong networking fundamentals, including LTE/5G, Wi-Fi, and VPN.
• Ability to work with hardware and software, including scripting, log analysis, and diagnostics.
• Clear client-facing communication and the ability to explain technical issues in plain language.
• Must be based in the United States and willing to travel extensively to client sites nationwide.

• Experience deploying robotics or autonomous systems.
• Experience with physical security systems, including video management systems, access control, and sensors.
• Field service or deployment leadership experience.
