Senior Systems Engineer (Space Defense)

Location: On-site in Colorado Springs, Colorado; minimal travel of 0–10% during normal business hours.

Salary: $150,000–$190,000 annually for Colorado-based positions.

What you will do

• Establish, analyze, allocate, and maintain system and system-of-systems requirements.
• Define and maintain system interfaces based on customer needs, gap analysis, and future performance evaluations.
• Apply model-based systems engineering methods and tools.
• Develop system integration, test, and verification plans.
• Assess operational effectiveness, mission impacts, architecture risks, interface risks, and requirements gaps.
• Collaborate with customers, program stakeholders, and technical and non-technical project teams.

Requirements

• Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of relevant technical systems engineering experience.
• 5+ years of experience in system requirements analysis and allocation.
• 2+ years of experience with model-based systems engineering methods and tools.
• Experience with requirements development, analysis, verification, testing, independent problem-solving, and mission architecture systems engineering.

Nice to have

• Mission engineering experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in Special Access and/or SCI programs.
• Experience assessing current and future capabilities and evaluating mission impacts from system changes.
