Scientist 1 (Environmental Science)

Location: Westborough, Massachusetts, United States. Onsite laboratory work with shifts of Sunday–Thursday, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM, or Friday–Monday, 2:00 PM–12:30 AM.

Compensation: $20.20 per hour.

What you will do

• Perform, support, and oversee analysis of air, water, and soil samples.
• Apply established chemistry and biochemistry methods in an environmental testing laboratory.
• Clean, maintain, and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Document procedures, observations, and results accurately to maintain organized laboratory records.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or another STEM-related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Ability to work effectively in a laboratory environment and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to work around strong odors and wear required personal protective equipment, including a lab coat, safety glasses, and gloves.
