What you will do

• Provide high-quality patient care and maintain a professional doctor’s office and pre-test room.
• Explain preliminary examinations and complete required paperwork before the doctor’s examination.
• Perform exam pre-screening, patient testing, visual field testing promotion, and retinal screening promotion.
• Review prescriptions and patient information, identify special needs, and consult with the optician, doctor, or retail management when needed.
• Maintain doctor and pre-test equipment and apply ocular terminology, disease knowledge, and abbreviations.

Requirements

• Fluent reading and speaking English and Spanish required.
• Strong customer service, interpersonal, organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills.
• Ability to learn optical knowledge and give customers clear, concise instructions.
• Detail-oriented approach and a professional attitude and appearance.
• Previous retail or optical experience is preferred but not required.
