What you will do

• Provide high-quality patient care and maintain a professional doctor’s office and pretest room.
• Complete paperwork, perform pre-screening, and conduct preliminary testing before the doctor’s examination.
• Explain preliminary examinations clearly and promote visual field testing and retinal screenings for eligible patients.
• Review prescriptions and patient information, identify special needs, and consult with the optician, doctor, or retail management when needed.
• Maintain doctor and pretest equipment in proper working condition.

Requirements

• Fluent English and Spanish reading and speaking skills required.
• Strong customer service, interpersonal, organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills.
• Ability to learn optical knowledge, understand ocular terminology and diseases, and use ocular abbreviations.
• Ability to provide clear and concise instructions to customers.
• Detail-oriented approach and a professional attitude and appearance.

Nice to have

• Previous retail or optical experience.
