Mental Health Clinical Faculty (Part-Time) (Nursing)

Location: Lexington, Kentucky, USA; in-person clinical teaching at an inpatient clinical setting

Compensation: $1,120–$7,245 per assignment

What you will do

• Mentor BSN students during inpatient clinical experiences and connect classroom and simulation learning with patient care.
• Implement the nursing curriculum, course objectives, and program outcomes through clinical teaching.
• Plan clinical experiences, supervise students directly, and evaluate their nursing skills and performance.
• Prepare assignments, provide documented feedback, and support student remediation when needed.
• Coordinate with clinical-site personnel, maintain knowledge of site policies, and remain available to students and staff.
• Contribute to program development, assessment, retention efforts, regulatory compliance, and college operations.

Requirements

• Master's or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Unencumbered professional RN nursing license in Kentucky; an Illinois RN license is required to teach all courses.
• At least two years of professional registered-nurse experience within the last five years in the area of instruction.
• Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or Military Training Network.
• Solid clinical nursing experience; teaching experience is not required.
