Registered Nurse, Occupational Health

Location: Onsite Health Center in Ridgefield, Connecticut, United States. Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:30 PM; no nights, weekends, or major holidays.

Salary: $50.00–$52.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Provide patient-centered occupational health care, evaluate and prioritize patients, and treat conditions within the scope of practice.
• Care for injured workers, coordinate case management, and support return-to-work and transitional duty programs.
• Conduct and document medical tests, screenings, physical evaluations, and treatments, including EKG, audiometry, spirometry, and vision testing.
• Administer medications and emergency care, maintain accurate health records, and follow infection control and equipment safety procedures.
• Educate patients on health promotion and collaborate on health programs, injury prevention, accident investigations, and workplace safety initiatives.

Requirements

• Certificate from an accredited nursing school or an Associate degree in Nursing is required; a BSN is preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice is required.
• Current Basic Life Support certification with hands-on training from AHA, ARC, or an equivalent provider is required.
• At least three years of Registered Nurse experience in occupational health, emergency, or ambulatory care.
• Experience with workplace health and safety programs, health screenings and education, fitness-for-duty evaluations, and return-to-work exams.

Nice to have

• BSN degree.
• Certification in Occupational Health, Emergency Nursing, or Case Management.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification where required by the site contract.
