AVP, Accounting (AI Finance Transformation)

What you will do

• Oversee G&A accounting, operating expense accounting, monthly close activities, financial reporting support, and control execution.
• Lead finance transformation initiatives, including Oracle Fusion implementation and optimization across multiple finance modules.
• Modernize close processes, standardize accounting procedures, and improve reporting quality and operational efficiency.
• Apply automation, artificial intelligence, analytics, and intelligent accounting solutions to journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, variance analysis, exception management, and reporting.
• Partner with FP&A, Treasury, Procurement, Finance Systems, Technology, Internal Audit, and external auditors.
• Lead, coach, and develop accounting professionals while fostering accountability, continuous improvement, and innovation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, data analytics, or a related field.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience and 3+ years of leadership experience.
• Experience with finance transformation, ERP implementations, close modernization, financial reporting, process improvement, and automation.
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience partnering across Accounting, Finance Systems, and Technology teams to implement scalable solutions and drive organizational change.

Nice to have

• CPA designation.
• Experience with AI, machine learning, predictive analytics, and automation in finance or accounting.
• Experience with Snowflake, AWS, Power BI, or similar enterprise data and analytics platforms.
• Public accounting experience or experience in a broker-dealer or regulated financial services environment.
