Test Technician III (Medical Devices)

Location: Pittsburgh, PA; onsite in an indoor light-industrial and production-line environment

Salary: $26.00–$31.00 per hour

What you will do

• Perform and lead complex troubleshooting, functional testing, and evaluation of new and used electronic medical devices.
• Use oscilloscopes, meters, generators, power supplies, test fixtures, and other electronic test equipment to identify root causes of failures.
• Understand circuit functions and interactions across product systems and act as a technical subject matter expert.
• Train Technician I and II employees toward full competence.
• Improve testing and troubleshooting processes and consistency of results.
• Document product and quality information, communicate with design engineering, and follow safety and regulatory procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; a two-year technical degree is preferred.
• At least five years of equivalent technician experience, or at least three years as a ZOLL Technician II, with a strong record of teamwork, attendance, and performance.
• Experience with electronic testing, troubleshooting, schematics, technical drawings, and circuit components.
• Full comprehension of written and spoken English is required because training and knowledge testing are conducted in English.
• Ability to follow medical-device procedures precisely, maintain high attention to detail, differentiate colors, and meet physical requirements including occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
