Financial Controller - Beauty Stock (12M FTC)

What you will do

• Lead and mentor 3–4 direct reports, setting objectives and supporting performance.
• Prepare, review, and reconcile inventory financial data, including stock valuations, provisions, write-offs, and adjustments.
• Own inventory-related month-end and year-end close processes and ensure accurate reporting.
• Lead balance-sheet review meetings and communicate risks, opportunities, trends, and variances to senior stakeholders.
• Analyse aged, obsolete, and expired stock and maintain appropriate provisions.
• Support internal and external audits, develop financial dashboards, and act as a finance business partner for inventory matters.

Requirements

• Qualified accountant with CIMA, ACCA, or ACA certification.
• Experience leading and developing finance teams.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret and communicate data to varied stakeholders.
• Proven record of delivering against targets and improving processes.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work on-site in Manchester, UK.
