TL;DR
Robotics Maintenance & Field Service Technician (AI Robotics): Deploying, maintaining, repairing, and upgrading autonomous robotic systems at customer facilities with an accent on electromechanical troubleshooting, field service, and customer uptime. Focus on diagnosing complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, controls, and networking issues, supporting deployments across the United States, and feeding field data into product reliability improvements.

Location: Remote, with approximately 75% travel throughout the United States; Atlanta, GA

What you will do

  • Deploy robotic systems at customer sites, including installation, commissioning, validation, and customer handoff.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, upgrades, retrofits, and field modifications on autonomous robots.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, controls, and networking issues.
  • Support customer ramp-up, operational readiness, uptime, reliability, and performance.
  • Document failures, collect field data, support root cause investigations, and partner with Engineering on reliability and serviceability improvements.
  • Develop maintenance procedures and troubleshooting standards while supporting pilots, product validation, and new product introductions.

Requirements

  • Experience troubleshooting, repairing, building, maintaining, or deploying electromechanical systems.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and controls-related issues and read technical schematics and drawings.
  • Experience with motors, sensors, actuators, drives, pneumatics, conveyors, robotics, industrial automation, CNC equipment, AGVs, AMRs, or similar systems.
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, multimeters, and diagnostic equipment, with strong customer-facing communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively throughout the United States are required.

Nice to have

  • Robotics, automation, or field service experience.
  • PLC troubleshooting, networking, Linux, or ROS experience.
  • Startup or high-growth company experience and military technical background.
  • Fabrication, machining, welding, or 3D printing experience.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, Electronics, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
