Salary: $18.65–$19.90 per hour, based on experience

What you will do

  • Perform patient admission and registration activities, assign medical record numbers, collect demographic and insurance information, and process physician orders.
  • Verify insurance eligibility and benefits, complete medical necessity checks, support pre-registration, and help maintain clean claims.
  • Collect point-of-service payments, explain payment options and required consent documents, and distribute Medicare and other patient forms.
  • Audit patient accounts, correct documentation issues, prepare reports, and support compliance with organizational policies and regulations.
  • Develop training materials, provide continuing education, create department schedules, and serve as a senior resource for staff.
  • Provide on-call and after-hours support, including coverage for staffing needs.

Requirements

  • Must reside in and be authorized to work within the United States.
  • One to three years of experience in a similar role.
  • Associate degree or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of revenue cycle operations, including admissions, billing, payments, and denials.
  • Knowledge of health insurance requirements, authorization and benefits verification, medical terminology, or CPT and procedure codes.
  • Ability to provide compassionate customer service, maintain accurate records, and comply with regulatory requirements.
