Senior Employee Benefits Analyst (Public Sector)

What you will do

• Lead complex renewal analyses across all coverage lines, including non-marketed and negotiated plans.
• Evaluate claims experience, utilization trends, financial performance, risks, opportunities, and cost drivers.
• Develop data-driven recommendations for long-term benefits planning, funding strategies, cost management, and plan optimization.
• Lead RFP processes, compare carrier proposals, and assess competitive positioning and financial impact.
• Support carrier negotiations and partner with Benefits Consultants on strategic benefit program planning and design.
• Develop and present advanced financial and management reports, renewal analyses, performance results, and recommendations to clients, committees, and leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Economics, Business Administration, Public Health, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in employee benefits, analytics, brokerage, or consulting.
• Advanced experience with renewal and financial analysis, claims and utilization reporting, RFP development, and carrier evaluations.
• Strong knowledge of fully insured and self-funded benefit plans.
• Strong knowledge of employee benefits regulations, including ACA and COBRA.
