Senior Functional Analyst

Location: 100% remote within the United States; candidates from California, Colorado, Illinois, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, or Washington will not be considered.

Salary: $78,167–$103,855 per year

What you will do

• Lead the capture, analysis, documentation, validation, and change control of business, functional, technical, and non-technical requirements.
• Use JIRA as an Application Lifecycle Management tool to manage requirements, epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, testing, defects, and traceability.
• Conduct user interviews, facilitate requirements and backlog refinement sessions, and develop process models, specifications, and project documentation.
• Coordinate with product owners, business users, stakeholders, contractors, and systems engineers to assess impacts and clarify requirements.
• Track risks, issues, impediments, project metrics, backlogs, and execution status across the Agile product development lifecycle using SAFe.
• Act as a functional subject matter expert, support Sprint teams, and lead or mentor junior analysts.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Must possess or qualify for a Public Trust (MBI) security clearance.
• At least 10 years of professional experience and a master's degree in engineering or a related scientific or technical discipline; an additional 10 years of experience may substitute for education.
• Strong background in software development, Agile, and Scaled Agile Framework methodologies, with experience in large Agile software development or data integration projects.
• Expertise with JIRA and advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
• Excellent analytical, communication, research, problem-solving, customer service, and technical documentation skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with the VA Veterans Independence Program, VA SQA testing, or a federal health agency such as VA, DHA, or HHS.
• Certified Scrum Master or Professional Scrum Master certification.
• Knowledge of healthcare billing and claims processing applications.
