Senior Azure Network Engineer (m/f/d) (Azure)

Location: Remote within Germany, with occasional on-site collaboration and anchor days at offices in Berlin or Cologne.

What you will do

• Design highly available Azure networking solutions connecting Azure, GCP, and on-premises environments.
• Build observability using KQL, Azure Workbooks, alerts, Azure Monitor, and Connection Monitor.
• Modernize network security with Azure Firewall Premium, network security groups, micro-segmentation, and Zero Trust approaches.
• Establish Azure governance guardrails with Azure Policy, Blueprints, and decentralized network management concepts.
• Develop disaster recovery strategies, automated failover tests, and recovery simulations.
• Integrate Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender, and network telemetry to automate threat detection and response.

Requirements

• Deep expertise in Azure networking, including Azure Firewall, ExpressRoute, Virtual WAN, BGP, Private Link, and Hub-and-Spoke architectures.
• Experience with Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender, KQL, Azure Monitor, and cloud observability.
• Experience with infrastructure automation, Infrastructure as Code, and interest in Infrastructure as Prompt and AI-assisted infrastructure management.
• Ability to evaluate existing architectures, create architectural recommendations, and communicate complex networking topics clearly.
• Ability to work remotely from Germany and attend occasional on-site collaboration or anchor days in Berlin or Cologne.

• Google Cloud networking experience.
• Sophos Firewall experience.
• Enterprise on-premises networking experience.
• Experience with Logic Apps, Azure Functions, or Kubernetes.
