Finance ERP Application Owner (Microsoft Dynamics)

Location: Cologne, Germany; remote contract with occasional travel to the office for anchor days.

What you will do

• Own the operational lifecycle of business-critical Finance ERP applications.
• Drive incident management, root-cause analysis, and problem resolution.
• Manage L1/L2 application operations and coordinate with ERP consultants and developers on complex L3 issues.
• Support operational readiness and validate new changes and enhancements.
• Identify recurring issues and implement sustainable improvements to application operations.
• Create and maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and knowledge articles.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience supporting or managing Finance business processes in an ERP or enterprise application environment.
• Experience analysing complex issues, identifying root causes, and driving lasting improvements.
• Understanding of application lifecycle and IT service management principles, including Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
• Collaborative, proactive approach with ownership of applications and interest in continuous learning.
• Fluent English required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 or Dynamics 365.
• ITIL experience.
• German language skills.
• Interest in applying AI and automation to improve application operations and user experience.
