SAP Employee Central Payroll (ECP) Consultant - Germany (m/f/d) (SAP HCM)

What you will do

• Configure SAP Employee Central Payroll for German gross-to-net processing, wage types, statutory deductions, schemas, and PCRs.
• Lead schema and PCR gap analysis, adapting legacy payroll logic while minimizing custom rules.
• Design and execute 2–3 payroll parallel-run cycles with wage-type-level reconciliation against SAP ECC output.
• Configure and validate EC–ECP Point-to-Point integration, including German infotypes and Time Off/Time Tracking data flows.
• Set up Payroll Control Center for production payroll monitoring and processing.
• Support data migration, cutover planning, legal-change readiness, and hypercare.

Requirements

• 6–10+ years of hands-on SAP Payroll experience, including at least three full-cycle German SAP Payroll implementations.
• Expertise in SAP Employee Central Payroll on an SAP HCM for S/4HANA basis, including PE01 schemas, PE02 PCRs, wage types, and troubleshooting.
• Deep knowledge of German payroll schemas, social insurance, DEÜV reporting, Lohnsteuer, ELStAM, church tax, Soli, statutory reporting, and SEPA payment formats.
• Experience migrating ECC HCM payroll master, time, payroll-result, YTD, and retro data into ECP, including parallel-run governance and variance analysis.
• Knowledge of German labor-law constraints, Works Council requirements, public-holiday calendars, garnishment, capital-formation benefits, and annual legal changes.
• Fluent German and English required.
