What you will do

• Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities for Mexico legal entities, including journal entries, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, payroll-related entries, and general ledger transactions.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, supporting schedules, financial analyses, and actual-to-budget or actual-to-forecast variance analysis.
• Manage assigned intercompany invoicing, settlements, confirmations, reconciliations, and discrepancy resolution.
• Coordinate accounts payable and vendor activities, including invoice validation, coding, approvals, payment follow-up, and aged-item monitoring.
• Support Mexico statutory accounting, tax and VAT reporting, audits, SOX requirements, and compliance reviews.
• Document processes, identify control gaps and workflow bottlenecks, and contribute to process improvements and task-level knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• At least 2 years of progressive experience in accounting, controllership, audit, or a related finance discipline.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, period-end close, journal entries, accruals, accounts payable, intercompany accounting, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Experience with SAP ECC, S/4HANA, or a comparable ERP, plus familiarity with consolidation and reporting systems.
• Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of Word and PowerPoint.
• Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English is required, along with the ability to work across local, regional, and global stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting Mexico legal entities and exposure to local statutory accounting, tax, VAT, and audit requirements.
• Understanding of the networks, media, streaming, or OTT business model.
• Experience improving processes and coordinating cross-functional stakeholders.
