Exterior/Interior Studio Engineer (Automotive)

Location: Gothenburg, Sweden; work will be performed in a studio in Sweden

What you will do

• Represent design intents and needs within engineering and translate engineering requirements into design possibilities.
• Transfer engineering and legislative requirements to design stakeholders.
• Generate feasible technical solutions for challenging exterior and interior areas.
• Manage and document agreements between design and engineering.
• Document the feasibility of design themes and raise critical technical issues.
• Support design clay models by considering standing heights, wheel positions, seating positions, and related vehicle geometry.

Requirements

• Complete vehicle engineering knowledge covering both interior and exterior development.
• Complete understanding of the vehicle development process and component validation.
• Very good experience with Catia and Teamcenter, plus working knowledge of MS Office and Jira.
• Technical university degree or equivalent and more than 10 years of solid automotive industry experience.
• Extensive automotive product concept and component engineering experience in aesthetic-sensitive areas; design studio experience is beneficial.
• Fluent English is required; Mandarin is beneficial. The candidate must be able to obtain a travel visa through the Chinese Visa Application Centre.
