Senior Quality Engineer (Robotics & Automation)

Salary: $115,000–$130,000 annually

What you will do

• Ensure product quality, reliability, and continuous improvement for optical encoder products and mechatronic and electronic systems.
• Investigate customer, field-return, internal, and supplier quality issues using 8D, DMAIC, 5 Whys, and Ishikawa methods.
• Drive corrective and preventive actions, containment, nonconforming material disposition, MRB activities, and scrap reduction.
• Develop risk-based sampling plans, support First Article Inspection, maintain qualification records, and coordinate test-equipment calibration.
• Support supplier quality activities, PPAP deliverables, part qualification, and product transfers from engineering to production.
• Participate in DFMEA/PFMEA, verification and validation, reliability reporting, and product compliance activities.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in quality engineering, manufacturing, or a related technical environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
• Experience with quality-control tools, inspection processes, and root-cause analysis.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, technical manuals, and schematics.
• Ability to perform detailed failure analysis of electronic PCBAs and assemblies.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 and/or ISO 13485 quality management systems is preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with CMM programming and inspection methods.
• Internal, customer, or registrar audit experience for ISO 9001 and ISO 13485.
