Principal Sourcing Engineer (Medtech)

Location: Onsite at a hirify.global site in Danvers, MA; North Haven, CT; Mounds View, MN; Boulder, CO; Irvine, CA; or Tempe, AZ. Minimum four days per week onsite.

Salary: $131,200–$196,800 USD annually, plus eligibility for the hirify.global Incentive Plan.

What you will do

• Lead mature supplier transfer projects from planning through execution, managing schedules, budgets, risks, KPIs, and customer satisfaction.
• Direct cross-functional teams across design, operations, category management, contract manufacturers, OEMs, supplier quality, and supply chain functions.
• Drive supplier optimization initiatives using Lean Six Sigma to improve process capability, value stream stability, lead times, quality, and cost.
• Review supplier part qualification and validation activities, including IQ, OQ, and PQ.
• Conduct supplier design reviews to identify test coverage gaps and quality or manufacturability defects.
• Manage project spending and resource forecasts while reporting progress to stakeholders and leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 7 years of relevant experience in plastics processing and supplier qualification, or a master’s degree with at least 5 years, or a PhD with at least 3 years.
• Deep expertise in process improvement methodologies, supplier management, project leadership, and data analysis.
• Experience with structured problem-solving techniques and cross-functional collaboration in a matrixed organization.
• Must be able to work onsite at one of the listed hirify.global locations in the United States.
• For degrees earned outside the United States, the degree must satisfy the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A).
• U.S. work authorization sponsorship is offered for Principal-level roles and above.

Nice to have

• Experience leading projects or programs with financial accountability; PMP certification is strongly preferred.
• Experience managing site-to-site transfer projects in manufacturing.
• Supplier quality experience and knowledge of injection molding or extrusion processes.
• Experience with PowerPoint and MS Project.
