TL;DR
Technical Project Manager, Global Operations (Reagent Assay/Hardware Development, NPI) (Medical Diagnostics/NPI): Leading multidisciplinary global operations projects and technology transfer/NPI programs with an accent on project portfolio governance, regulatory compliance, and manufacturing improvement. Location: Chaska, Minnesota, United States; on-site 5 days a week

Salary: $135,000–$145,000 annually, plus eligibility for bonus or incentive pay.

What you will do

  • Lead delivery of multidisciplinary Global Operations projects and programs that provide strategic business benefits.
  • Monitor, measure, and coach execution across multiple projects to achieve program objectives.
  • Plan and design technology transfer and NPI projects, including success criteria, governance, controls, infrastructure, and change management.
  • Track and communicate project progress, risks, mitigation actions, and decisions through established governance frameworks.
  • Improve and standardize project and portfolio management practices and build PMO capabilities across Global Operations.
  • Partner with Quality, Regulatory, and Operations stakeholders on design change and supplier qualification improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering-related field with preference for 9+ years of manufacturing experience, a master’s degree with preference for 7+ years, or a PhD with preference for 4+ years.
  • At least 5 years of experience leading medium- to large-scale technology transfer, NPI, and design change projects or programs.
  • Experience managing design changes and technology transfer projects in a medical device or diagnostics regulatory environment, including ISO 13485 and global standards compliance.
  • Proficiency in problem-solving methods, best-practice manufacturing techniques, and Lean Six Sigma tools.
  • Ability to lead large cross-functional projects and programs while meeting quality, scope, cost, and schedule targets.
  • Ability to travel globally, approximately 25% of the time.

Nice to have

  • Lean or Six Sigma experience, Kaizen leadership, and demonstrated problem-solving capability.
  • Experience with Power BI, Smartsheet, Miro, Excel, or project management software.
