Salary: $19.57–$33.47 through a performance-based flat-rate compensation model. A $1,500 sign-on bonus is available for first-time hires.

What you will do

• Diagnose and repair brake, hydraulic, exhaust, fuel, ignition, electrical, suspension, alignment, air conditioning, and computer systems.
• Perform general automotive maintenance and tire repairs to specifications.
• Explain technical diagnoses and required repairs to customers without mechanical expertise.
• Assist with and train technicians and mechanics on technical activities.
• Complete paid formal training to stay current with changing automotive technology.
• Obtain or maintain ASE certification in at least three A1–A8 areas within the first two years.

Requirements

• Must work at the Cedar Rapids, United States location.
• Valid automobile driver's license and ability to drive customer and company vehicles.
• Demonstrated skills in brake and hydraulic systems or steering, suspension, and alignments.
• Experience with general automotive maintenance and tire repair.
• Applicable current federal, state, and local certifications or licenses.
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people, with reading, writing, and math skills.

Nice to have

• Three years of automotive repair experience, relevant third-party assessments or certifications, or completion of a vocational-technical program.
• ASE certification in at least one A1–A8 area; L1 certification is also accepted.
