Realty Project Coach (Construction)

Location: Rockford, Illinois, United States, based at a home store with frequent travel to surrounding states or farther across the US. The role requires overnight shifts averaging 10–12 hours and being away from home 80% of the time, or for 17–21 days at a time.

Salary: $60,000–$110,000 annually, plus possible performance bonuses and stock.

What you will do

• Own the execution of store and club remodels, new stores and clubs, and special projects across assigned locations.
• Deliver projects on time, within budget, and according to quality standards.
• Communicate plans, changes, and obstacles to store leadership and other stakeholders while minimizing disruption to store operations.
• Supervise, motivate, train, mentor, and develop hourly associates.
• Resolve concerns and escalations involving store leadership, suppliers, and associates.
• Build stakeholder relationships, monitor progress and results, and implement business solutions and improvement opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field plus 1 year of relevant experience, or 3 years of experience in project management, space management, store design, operations, data analysis, or a related area.
• Knowledge of construction remodels, project management, space management, and/or store design.
• Experience leading people, projects, initiatives, or cross-functional teams.
• Reliable transportation and successful completion of required training and assessments.
• Availability for primarily overnight shifts, frequent travel of up to 1,000 miles from home, and extended assignments away from home.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Business or a related field.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams.
• Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute.
