Project Manager (Construction)

Location: Phoenix, Arizona; Austin, Texas; Nashville, Tennessee; Tampa, Florida; Atlanta, Georgia; or Raleigh, North Carolina, USA. The position involves onsite client interaction and up to 35% travel to remote sites throughout the United States.

Salary: $93,500–$110,000 per year.

What you will do

• Manage project agendas, master budgets, timelines, and project phases while keeping building management informed.
• Coordinate reports and drawing reviews across conceptual, schematic, design development, and construction phases.
• Support consultant and construction-team selection, contracting, oversight, and project execution.
• Review requisitions, change orders, and invoices, advising clients and property management on costs and impacts.
• Collaborate with account managers, facility teams, clients, owners, and other stakeholders to meet quality, service, cost, and profit objectives.
• Identify major issues, required approvals, budget overruns, organizational changes, regulatory requirements, and safety or building-code obligations.

Requirements

• B.S. degree in Engineering or Architecture.
• Minimum 5 years of directly related experience in an engineering or construction project accountability role, including minimum 5 years of project management experience.
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in project management, including leading, motivating, and developing employees.
• Client focus, communication proficiency, relationship management, leadership, multitasking, technical proficiency, consultation, organization, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work onsite with clients and travel up to 35% to remote sites throughout the United States, depending on project requirements.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with tenant improvement construction projects.
