Senior Product Manager (Mainframe)

What you will do

• Define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Open Mainframe Solutions and related initiatives.
• Represent market and business requirements to R&D and advocate for open mainframe initiatives.
• Work with Product Owners and Architecture teams to prioritize features and translate customer needs into functional stories.
• Identify and remove cross-functional delivery roadblocks while maintaining quality and timelines.
• Lead go-to-market initiatives, drive product adoption, track KPIs, and present strategy to executive stakeholders.
• Build long-term relationships with customers, partners, and software service providers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering.
• 12+ years of experience in product, service, project, or program management, or enterprise software development.
• Deep knowledge of the mainframe software industry, open-source projects, community initiatives, and modernization trends.
• Strong technical understanding of open technologies including Linux, Git, and Python.
• Advanced understanding of B2B business models, software licensing, and product delivery.
• Experience managing complex cross-functional projects, stakeholders, and executive-level communications.
