Construction Tool Install Engineer (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite in Hillsboro, Oregon, United States

Annual salary: $52,000–$200,000.

hirify.global Foundry Construction and Sourcing builds and optimizes semiconductor manufacturing facilities, including factory construction and tool installation.

What you will do

• Coordinate equipment procurement with tool-installation schedules and factory-growth timelines.
• Align suppliers, trade contractors, internal teams, and other stakeholders on installation milestones and execution plans.
• Lead planning and coordination meetings across local Oregon and other site teams.
• Monitor commercial risks, capacity, and project issues; drive root-cause resolution and field-fix implementation.
• Translate business and technical requirements into accurate, cost-effective project plans.
• Own assigned projects from pre-design through system startup, ensuring safety, quality, troubleshooting, and timely delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, or a related technical field with 4+ years of project or program management experience in large-scale construction or factory tool installation and qualification ramping; or a master’s degree with 2+ years of experience.
• Leadership, communication, planning, decision-making, and problem-solving skills in a highly matrixed environment.
• Ability to engage with executive management, business partners, suppliers, contractors, and site stakeholders.
• Commitment to onsite safety, quality, continuous improvement, and professional development.

Nice to have

• Experience installing and demolishing process tool equipment.
• Experience with EPI, Diffusion, Anneal, Implant, Spatial, or ALD installation or deinstallation.
