Applied AI Architect (Life Sciences)

Location: London, UK. Hybrid policy: staff are expected to work from one of the offices at least 25% of the time; occasional travel to partner sites is required.

What you will do

• Advise life sciences research institutions and mission-driven organizations throughout their Claude adoption journey, from workflow discovery through deployment.
• Help partners become AI-native organizations through Claude Code, Claude Science, research enablement, and business process evolution.
• Design and lead cohort-based accelerators for multiple institutions and identify the hardest challenges in deploying AI in life sciences.
• Feed partner insights into product, engineering, and research, including domain-specific MCP servers, scientific benchmarks, evaluations, and reusable agent skills.
• Create technical presentations, demonstrations, documentation, tutorials, and sample code that can scale across institutions.
• Shape team processes and culture while the Applied AI team grows.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in a technical role, ideally with customer-facing experience as a Solutions Architect, Customer Engineer, Sales Engineer, Technical Account Manager, Product Engineer, or Forward Deployed Engineer.
• Experience in life sciences, biomedical research, or scientific computing.
• Experience working with or building trust among academic research institutions, biotech, pharma, or mission-driven scientific organizations.
• Familiarity with LLM implementation patterns, including prompt and context engineering, evaluation frameworks, agent architectures, and retrieval frameworks.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, or professional experience in a relevant field.
• A teaching-oriented, collaborative, and adaptable approach, with the ability to build from scratch and operate in ambiguous situations.

Nice to have

• Experience in genomics, neuroscience, or drug discovery.
• Comfort working deeply with academic researchers.
