PRN Medical Assistant - Eastern Shore Area (Maryland)

Location: Hurlock, Maryland, United States; onsite, part-time position.

Salary: $22.00–$28.00 per hour, depending on geographic location, experience, and skills.

What you will do

• Escort patients, prepare exam rooms, and maintain clinical supplies and equipment.
• Review patient information, collect updated health data, and record accurate information in medical records.
• Take vital signs, perform blood draws, administer medications and immunizations, bandage wounds, and assist with procedures under provider direction.
• Coordinate laboratory tests, process results, and communicate results to patients as instructed.
• Perform scheduling, check-in and check-out, medical record requests, referrals, specialist visits, and other care coordination activities.
• Support patient outreach and help identify and address gaps in care.

Requirements

• At least one year of Medical Assistant experience, preferably in primary care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant or related program.
• National or state-specific Medical Assistant certification or registration is preferred and is required where mandated by state law.
• CPR/BLS certification is required by the start date.

Nice to have

• Phlebotomy experience.
