Salary: $61,750–$84,900 per year, plus annual bonus based on company performance.

What you will do

• Set up analytical equipment for carbon black feedstock analysis.
• Conduct feedstock characterization and process simulation testing.
• Prepare materials, adjust testing parameters within defined ranges, and perform routine and non-routine tests.
• Record notes, enter data into databases, organize results, and provide summary interpretations of issues and trends.
• Calibrate testing equipment, perform routine maintenance, and help develop test methods for laboratory equipment.
• Follow intellectual property, Responsible Care, safety, health, and environmental procedures.

Requirements

• Secondary degree with at least four years of related experience, or an associate degree in a technical discipline with at least two years of related experience.
• Broad knowledge of laboratory testing equipment, protocols, and instrumentation.
• Experience with high-temperature and pressurized laboratory systems is preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation issues.
• Ability to identify out-of-range results, recognize unusual patterns, organize data, and complete assignments on time.
• Quality-focused, safety-minded, collaborative, and proficient with computers and standard office applications.
