Salary: $75,600–$100,800 USD base salary per year, with bonus potential and early-stage equity.

What you will do

  • Execute high-throughput automated and manual laboratory workflows using integrated workcells and liquid-handling platforms such as Hamilton, Lynx, Echo, or similar systems.
  • Prepare, organize, and verify reagents, samples, labware, and consumables.
  • Monitor active workflows, identify equipment or process issues, perform first-line troubleshooting and recovery, and escalate complex problems.
  • Perform equipment checks, cleaning, maintenance, and readiness activities.
  • Review quality-control outputs and maintain accurate experimental, equipment, process, and sample-traceability records.
  • Provide end-of-shift handoffs, collaborate across scientific and engineering teams, and contribute to workflow improvement and cross-training.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in biology, biotechnology, biochemistry, molecular biology, bioengineering, or a related scientific or engineering field, or equivalent education and laboratory experience.
  • At least 3 years of relevant co-op and industry laboratory experience.
  • Hands-on experience with pipetting, reagent preparation, and aseptic technique in molecular biology, microbiology, biotechnology, protein science, or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail, documentation, analytical thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to organize work, manage multiple priorities, and operate reliably in a fast-paced, high-throughput laboratory.
  • Ability to work on-site during the scheduled second shift from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

Nice to have

  • Experience with automated liquid handlers, integrated laboratory workcells, or high-throughput production-oriented laboratories.
  • Experience reviewing automated workflow quality-control data or using laboratory information management, sample-tracking, or workflow-scheduling systems.
  • Experience troubleshooting laboratory automation, maintaining equipment, or improving processes.
  • Experience with protein purification or characterization, cell culture, DNA or RNA workflows, or lipid nanoparticle formulation and handling.
