Ash & Liquid Waste Operator

Location: Niagara Falls, New York, USA; onsite

Salary: $22.79–$30.34 per hour

What you will do

• Operate, inspect, clean, and maintain bottom ash, ferrous material, and liquid waste systems.
• Conduct equipment rounds and perform minor maintenance, including belt replacement, pump cleaning, lubrication, and component changes.
• Safely offload liquid waste tankers, coordinate deliveries, and resolve system flow problems.
• Perform ash sampling, monitor material stocks, and complete safety and environmental compliance checks.
• Maintain accurate shift logs and communicate equipment issues, abnormal conditions, and maintenance needs during shift turnover.

Requirements

• Industrial, utility, or heavy equipment operations experience is strongly preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and the ability to perform minor maintenance.
• Strong safety awareness and the ability to follow compliance procedures.
• Ability to work any shift, including nights, weekends, and overtime.
• Ability to wear required PPE, including a full-faced respirator, and work in hot, cold, dusty, and dirty industrial environments.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders, work at heights, and frequently walk, stand, bend, and handle tools or equipment.
