Employee Benefits Account Manager

Location: On-site in Costa Mesa, California

Salary: $74,000–$100,000 per year

What you will do

• Service employee benefits accounts, including quotes, policy issuance, ID cards, endorsements, certificates, claims, renewals, and client correspondence.
• Respond to client inquiries and company requests while collecting renewal data and providing claims support.
• Develop coverage strategies and plans and support insurance marketing and sales activities.
• Review policies and endorsements for accuracy and confirm that requested items were received.
• Maintain client data and activity records in Applied Systems / EPIC and use upload, download, and interface technologies.
• Keep producers and management informed of account activity, potential issues, underwriting requirements, and policy changes.

Requirements

• Active Health & Life License required.
• At least two years of experience in employee benefits.
• High school diploma required.
• Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, mathematical, and practical reasoning skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Knowledge of insurance principles, underwriting requirements, policy provisions, and compliance obligations.

Nice to have

• Experience with Applied Systems / EPIC.
• Experience with Employee Navigator.
• CPCU qualification or completion of specialized training courses.
