Academic Technology Operations Coordinator (AI)

Location: Kingsville, Texas, United States; primarily office-based with regular work across classrooms, conference rooms, learning spaces, and other campus facilities.

What you will do

• Manage day-to-day academic technology operations across classrooms, conference spaces, digital signage, satellite locations, and workforce innovation environments.
• Coordinate preventative maintenance, incident response, technology lifecycle management, service metrics, and continuous improvement.
• Plan and implement classroom technology upgrades, audio-visual integrations, and emerging technology deployments.
• Apply project management methods to define scopes, schedules, milestones, risks, budgets, and resource requirements.
• Coordinate procurement, evaluation, selection, installation, testing, and deployment of instructional and AV technologies.
• Collaborate with academic leadership, Campus Operations, Facilities, ITS, Event Planning, vendors, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least three years of related experience.
• Knowledge of academic technology operations, classroom AV systems, digital learning spaces, digital signage, and emerging technologies.
• Knowledge of project and operations management, IT service management, budgeting, procurement, vendor coordination, security, compliance, and digital accessibility.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, organizational, communication, customer service, documentation, and process-improvement skills.
• Export-control authorization is required before employment begins; the position is security-sensitive and requires a criminal history investigation.

Nice to have

• Experience with responsible, ethical, accessible, and human-centered AI applications in academic or operational environments.
• Experience coordinating technology requirements within renovation, construction, infrastructure, or learning-space improvement projects.
