Lead Strategist - Sustainability

What you will do

• Formulate and represent views on sustainability and its integration into the investment process.
• Lead strategic projects and take responsibility for developing and delivering the sustainability strategy.
• Develop MFS house views, research, presentations, and sustainability thought leadership.
• Represent sustainability subject-matter expertise in client meetings, due diligence, sales meetings, and high-profile events.
• Collaborate with client-facing, investment, legal, distribution, and other internal teams.
• Provide leadership and guidance to team members working on strategic projects and thought leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; CFA, MBA, or another master’s degree strongly preferred.
• Extensive experience in a relevant field and expertise in current sustainability topics, trends, and best practices.
• Strong strategic thinking, change management, adaptability, relationship-building, and influencing skills.
• Deep understanding of quantitative tools, technical subject matter, asset classes, and global capital markets.
• Excellent presentation skills and experience delivering high-quality client engagements.
• Ability to provide inclusive leadership within a technically oriented team.

Nice to have

• Experience with FactSet, Bloomberg, Morningstar, or MSCI.
