Summer 2027 Communications Internship (Corporate Communications)

Location: Columbus, OH; office workplace type. Applicants must be currently authorized to work full time in the United States. Immigration sponsorship is not available, including sponsorship for F-1, H-1B, O-1, TN, or E-3 status.

What you will do

• Support internal communications, executive communications, philanthropy, and community relations initiatives.
• Contribute to external communications and public relations through media relations, content development, and narrative building.
• Write and edit articles, communications materials, and stories for internal and external audiences.
• Research industry trends and help develop communications and media strategies.
• Collaborate with a manager and communications professionals while working independently and as part of a team.
• Participate in professional development sessions, team projects, volunteer activities, and internship events.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current enrollment in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program, with at least one quarter or semester remaining after the summer program.
• Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, relationship-building, and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Demonstrated leadership through extracurricular activities or work experience.
• Current full-time authorization to work in the United States; immigration sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Coursework or a major in communications, journalism, public relations, English, human resources, marketing communications, digital media, or a related field.
• Strong writing and editing skills, familiarity with AP Style, and attention to detail.
• Interest in banking, corporate communications, public relations, journalism, or digital media.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, apply logical and critical thinking, and maintain professional composure.
