Communications Intern: Summer 2027

Location: Hybrid in Omaha, Nebraska; must live within commuting distance of the Omaha office from May 26 through July 30, 2027

What you will do

• Write and edit intranet content, newsroom materials, press releases, social media posts, posters, scripts, brochures, and other company collateral.
• Support internal communications and media relations activities.
• Coordinate communications programs and projects with communications staff.
• Assist with planning and executing special events.
• Meet department attendance and timeliness requirements while building positive working relationships.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Journalism, English, Advertising, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or Business.
• Strong organizational skills with consistent attention to detail and deadlines.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Strong written, verbal, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.
• Comprehensive knowledge of AP Style.
