Senior Manager, Global Technology User Experience Design (AI)

Location: On-site in the greater Seattle, WA area at Downtown Seattle, Federal Way, Lynnwood, or Bellevue (Factoria). Candidates must be local or willing to relocate; relocation assistance is not offered.

Base salary: $100,000 per year. Quarterly performance bonuses are eligible but discretionary; historical total annual compensation including bonuses has reached $236,000 or more.

What you will do

• Lead, coach, hire, and develop a centralized team of six to eight UX designers.
• Manage UX intake, demand prioritization, capacity planning, resourcing, and allocation across multiple product teams.
• Embed UX in product discovery and delivery while partnering with Technical Product Managers, Engineering, and business stakeholders.
• Establish design critiques, shared standards, accessibility practices, definitions of done, and adoption of the GUIDE design system.
• Define responsible AI practices, guardrails, and tooling across research synthesis, ideation, UX writing, prototyping, and design-to-development handoff.
• Maintain operational reporting through Azure DevOps, UX Power BI dashboards, and Delivery Plan, while supporting budget, vendor, and headcount planning.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience managing or leading designers, including coaching, feedback, performance development, and building high-performing technical teams.
• Deep UX experience across user research, interaction design, information architecture, visual/UI design, accessibility, and design systems.
• Experience managing capacity, allocation, or resourcing across multiple teams or projects with strong operational rigor.
• Experience applying AI to design work and defining responsible practices that balance speed, craft, quality, and accessibility.
• Fluency with Figma, Azure DevOps/Boards, design systems such as GUIDE and Storybook, and Microsoft 365. Applicants must be immediately eligible to work lawfully in the U.S.; U.S. work authorization sponsorship is not available.

• Experience in logistics, supply chain, or another complex enterprise or mission-critical domain.
