Crane Operator (Metal Recycling)

Location: Cleveland, Ohio, USA; on-site at a metal recycling facility

What you will do

• Operate cranes to lift, move, and position metal materials within the facility.
• Use magnets and grapples to transport materials and place them in designated areas or processing equipment.
• Load and unload trucks and containers while maintaining proper weight distribution and load security.
• Communicate and coordinate with team members, supervisors, and other personnel.
• Conduct pre- and post-operation crane inspections and perform overall crane maintenance.
• Operate additional heavy equipment, including shears and loaders, as required.

Requirements

• Crane operator certification and/or experience.
• At least one year of experience operating a crane in a heavy industrial setting.
• Strong attention to detail when positioning and handling different types of metal materials.
• Understanding of safety protocols for crane operation and material handling.
• Familiarity with crane attachments such as magnets and grapples.
