Assistant Financial Controller (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Deliver accurate and timely financial reports for the Manchester factory.
• Support statutory reporting by applying local accounting knowledge and maintaining compliance with local tax requirements.
• Contribute to fixed asset impairment reviews and advise stakeholders on the accounting implications of major capital investments.
• Monitor and remediate control deficiencies to maintain effective accounting systems and policies.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, including auditor communication and documentation.
• Oversee local asset tagging, verification, and payment processes where required.

Requirements

• University degree or equivalent.
• Membership in a professional accounting body such as CIMA, ACCA, ACA, OROC, OCC, or equivalent, or an MBA.
• Experience in a technical finance role, preferably in manufacturing, including statutory financial report review.
• Strong knowledge of local GAAP and IFRS, with the ability to apply accounting judgement in a complex business.
• Experience working in a global and matrixed organisation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and financial systems.

• Experience with D365 or OneStream.
