TL;DR
Fund Accounting Manager (Fund Accounting/IFRS/UK GAAP): Leading the delivery of fund accounting and financial reporting across alternative investment structures with an accent on accuracy, compliance, client service, and team leadership. Focus on reviewing financial statements, managing complex fund transactions, coordinating auditors and stakeholders, and driving operational improvements.
Location: Belfast, UK; hybrid working with 2 days in the office and 3 days from home

What you will do
- Lead the preparation and review of management accounts, interim financial statements, and annual financial statements for a portfolio of funds.
- Oversee fund accounting activities, including expenses, accruals, prepayments, VAT, loan interest, investment transactions, and investor transactions.
- Manage relationships with clients, auditors, and advisers while coordinating reporting timetables and regulatory deadlines.
- Review and approve client payments while maintaining risk management, governance, internal controls, and regulatory compliance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance service quality, efficiency, and client outcomes.
- Lead, coach, and develop accounting professionals through training and performance management.
Requirements
- ACA, ACCA, or an equivalent professional accounting qualification.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, including IFRS and UK GAAP.
- Experience in fund accounting, financial reporting, or alternative investment structures.
- Experience reviewing financial statements, management accounts, and audit deliverables in a regulated environment.
- Strong stakeholder management, client relationship, written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Previous experience leading, mentoring, or developing accounting professionals.
