Head of Engineering, Supply Chain (Java)

What you will do

• Own the technical strategy and architecture for inventory, logistics, distribution, and repair management software.
• Lead an engineering organisation of approximately 25 engineers across management, QA, SRE, and data engineering.
• Platformise supply-chain systems so operational data remains visible, trustworthy, and consistent across millions of POS terminals.
• Define architecture standards, engineering processes, quality metrics, reliability practices, and data-integrity controls.
• Translate operational requirements into scalable engineering solutions in collaboration with business and operational stakeholders.
• Hire, mentor, and develop engineering managers and senior engineers as the organisation grows beyond 30 members.

Requirements

• 10–15 years of overall software engineering experience, including at least 5 years leading engineering teams through growth phases.
• At least 5 years of hands-on, production-level Java development experience.
• At least 5 years managing managers and leading engineering organisations through other engineering leaders.
• Deep experience with supply-chain, inventory, warehouse, or logistics software at scale.
• Strong backend engineering, distributed systems, large-scale system design, and data-intensive systems experience.
• Experience in fintech or another regulated industry, plus a record of managing engineering teams of 20 or more people.
